Should you start with one-on-one coaching or group coaching? Or should you just get right into building online courses or programs?
Which model is the best?
Let’s lay them all out so you can decide which one is the best for you!
There are some massive advantages to starting with one-on-one clients. First of all, you only have to work with 4 to 5 clients and with a $2,500 coaching program, you can be making $10K/month without working 70 hours a week.
Let me guess, you’re running the numbers yourself right now and can see how with 10 clients this means you can be generating $25,000 a month consistently as a coach working from your laptop.
You don’t need an email list, a social media following, or anything complicated to start. All you need is a clear message and to get into 10 to 15 conversations a month.
The best part about building an online coaching business is you’ll never hit an income ceiling! You can start to really grow your coaching business by adding the next level, a group coaching program!
When you have the experience built from your one-on-one coaching, you can easily create a curriculum around what you routinely do with each of your clients. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel! Build a community with even more accountability for your clients and they will see how much more value they get for a lot less than paying to work with you one-on-one. Plus, you can start leveraging your time and help more clients.
There is a downside to group coaching. You will have to make 20 or more sales each month to keep it alive. This is where building the lead generation systems and enough conversations with interested prospects from the one-on-one model can help you fill up and sell out your group coaching program. So don’t jump to the group option too soon!
Programs and Courses
After you have successfully run a group coaching program, you can re-structure it to be an evergreen coaching program or course. With the client results and social proof to back it up, this can make you money in your sleep! But DO NOT jump to creating evergreen offers too soon. Yes, the thought of making money in your sleep is tempting but your intention should be to get your clients incredible results. Not just money in your back.
If you’re in this just to make cash from automating your coaching programs, leave the coaching up to the coaches who are in this for the coaching.
Alright, this one I have got to label as the last step. After you have done one-on-one coaching, ran a few group coaching programs, and offered programs/courses you will have the experience and clients you need to create a sexy membership offer for your clients to continue to learn from you.
